aw man i'm sorry to hear bout that. i tried looking everywhere and all i could find is automatics for the 2.0L.

all i can say is to call your insurance company and see wat they can do. all u have to pay is the deductable and the transmission will be ordered from mazda to the actual place its being installed.

goodluck.

ah. well that might be a concern with the insurance. they will send someone out to verify your tranny is blown. all i can say is to find a way to put it back in while its blown and then the insurance company can confirm it. next thing u know u have a check and a new trans in your car. minus the deductable from your part. i would think that'd be around $500? atleast? thats wat mines is.

SO was it the tranny that blew or the lsd??? Because the lsd"s in the msp's are crap and break constantly. Mine blew out at 50k. It was about a grand to get everything done including the parts.

actually the LSD is good in the MSP, the problem is in the housing welds. they spot welded the housing and under too much stress those welds are shearing. Wheel hop is the worst killer of these welds. Once you weld all the way around the housing it is no more worries.
