well first off the quick and easy one. a streetunit skully cap, im not sure for the proper name of this but its was i've always called it. fall is here and winter is right here for us NJ/NY/PA guys and i would really like one

secondly i recently purchased a SU cobb sri and i had an idea for SU when i was at the track lookin at my friends EVO X intake. A HEAT SHIELD! it would be great if SU designed one for the intake with their name on it and you could even etch your name into the shield. not sure what material to make it from since im no engineer although i could figure it out with some sheetmetal and a clipper lol

Usually it is stainless or aluminum in a 18 or 20 ga material. It is more often used to protect brake boosters and masters from heat.

it isnt at all hard to make, but especially with a SRI, it would still be heat soaking(and potentially more if it is metal) unless you had it go from filter-> fender duct.

if you go that kind of distance it doesnt work for FMIC people AND you are basicly making it a CAI...... Also you would need to price it where it still was as cheaper or cheaper than a CAI......

good idea, but going to be tough to excute and turn any profit.

as for the skull cap........... are you talking one that Form fits like the Under Armor makes for athletes to dispurse the sweat or a beanie that is usually cloth and only semi- form fitting? I too would be intersted in this. maybe a picture would help, would be cool with the new SU logo.

well ya i figured the metal would get hot so it might not be a good design. but im cant afford the risk of hydro-locking so stick with SRI's. they can may be look at K&N's design since thats where i got the idea on my friends evo.

and to the hat, i was talking abuot the beenie one, semi-fitting. i though i post a pic but it didnt work. here is one though
