Hey Everyone -
This morning, someone rear ended my car and you can see the damage below. She hit me pretty hard, and I was wondering if you guys think they would total it? Starts and runs just fine... So far. But, I haven't looked underneath to see the extent of the damage. Pretty messed up though. I have had my baby for 3 years and 6 months and hope I don't have to give her up!!

is this the cars first wreck? I'm voting no, on the totalling. What you have to remember about totalling is the cost of repiar has to exceed i believe 70-80% of the value of the car.

Yeah, my fiance, 2 year old son and our Australian Shepherd were in the car when we were hit (we were coming back from the dog park!). Everyone is ok, I checked it out a little bit more today and both rear quarter panels are bent down, the hatch is destroyed, but the floor of my back where the spare is at, is all bent and the twisted as well, underneath alot of the metal is pushed back right into the back and where the fuel tank is at. The exhaust looks a little bent too, not sure about much else though, only looked for a few minutes. Insurance is coming out on monday to take a look. Person that hit me admitting it was there fault though and cops were really quick to get everything taken care of.

ouch man damn. hope they dont total that ****. i always say, better they hit me then i hit them. good luck. sorry for the loss yo.
1st.thank the lord everyone walked away.most of the damage you have will not affect the drivabilty of your car and just be sure your body shop knows there stuff and can blend your new paint with the old.your insurance or the person that hit you will replace the tailgate ,bumper rear spare tire tub, and rear glass.have them do a water check before you take it back to be sure that your rear tailights dont leak.this just slows you down for about two weeks max and you will be back on the road in no time.good luck and sorry bout that.i dont know at all but i bet a 20 they were on da phone!

damn, looks like it hurt :(
glad everybody (and the dog) is alright! it doesn't look like there's any frame damage, so it should be fixable. i just hope that none of the other body panels were torqued in a weird way that u can't notice yet.

Oh, yeah. I just spoke with the claims adjuster and the auto body shop and the cost right now is just under $10k ($9541) and they told me about 20 working days at least before I will have my MS3 back.
