Labbat Blue Single Can Challenge

Alright so let me explain this....

I wanted to say thanks to Cullen and the boys at Street Unit for all of the help they have been. So my buddies and I got a little too stoned for our own good and decided to thank Cullen by sending him his favourite Canadian Beer, Labbat Blue. This is where it got interesting... It's probably a little costly to ship an entire 24 so we thought just for kicks we would try single cans. Now the rules are one can at a time (No bottles for safety and cause we think they may actually make it cause theres still a little room left in the neck of the bottle for air so it may not explode like a can), We must ship using the regular shipping practices ie: USPS, Canada Post, UPS, etc...

So there should be a pic of our first attempt at what we thought was a great idea coming later today. We actually came up with a wooden box with full "suspension". I actually used an old ebay B.O.V., took the springs out and used them to cushion a smaller box sitting inside the 1st.... We were so excited we thought we'd get Cullen his beer for sure..... Then we sobered up!!

The Damn thing looked like a Mail bomb rather than a can transport and we figured with the extra security at the border it might be safer to just let that attempt go by the way side.

As I explained to Cullen.... We're not crazy honestly! We're just a bunch of Canadian kids with their cars stored for the winter and we smoke far far too much great Canadian Marijuana to pass this up!

SO ANYONE HAVE SOME GOOD IDEAS ON THIS???

Remember.... Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Street Unit & No bottles!!!!!!!!! (and please nothing that looks like an explosive, we did that already)

Any help would be greatly appreciated because if we can't figure this out for a while Cullens getting "Skunky" Canadian Beer.

We will be greatly dedicated to this until at least April when the cars come back out.

The box inside of a box is a good idea. Either way it could explode, but at least aluminum cans don't break. There is one other option, you could use the plastic style bottles like they sell here at football/baseball games. Any "suspension" system will be useless as the box is going to be thrown all over the place. If they scan it at customs, they are going to see it may be an explosive device, open it, find it to be an illegal attempt to ship beer across the border, dispose of a perfectly good can of beer, and send guys with shotguns to your house (or put a fake return address on it and pay cash, and wear gloves).

If you still want to follow through with it:

- Wrap the can in bubble wrap
- Place foam around the bubble wrap
- Place inside inner box
- Put a layer of package peanuts on the bottom of the outer box
- Put the inner box into the outer box
- Fill outer box with package peanuts
- Ship and cross your finger

And no, when I come visit this weekend I will not take the package across the border to ship within the US to bypass customs :p

Sweet... Lively jay good call. We were just trying to do something Mcgiverish(if thats a word) I'm trying the step by step today.... Now street unit mike is thursty for some Blue (I didn't realize our alchohol content was higher) Okay so do we start a new challenge to get Street Unit Mike some beer? or should I just try the same... Remember the rules state only one can at a time. Does anyone know what the charge would be called for getting busted illegally shipping beer? Not to worry lively jay I have some Blue waiting for you and the great old Canadian Whisky.... Don't know if I would trust leaving a whole case sitting beside you in the car on a long drive:o

Okay I apologize for the wait and I promise to get the suspension box picks up in a couple of hours. Went to the girlfriends house after work so as soon as I get home you'll get them BUT just to tide people over I had to come up with other ideas from stuff that was in the car so..... I know what your going to say but they drink Canadian here, the Blues at my house........
