Hey whats up guys!!! Check out what Ive been doing for about 11 hours yesterday. Im telling you, the guys that dont get the BOSE system in their cars are lucky as hell. I have had to gut the car to run new wires, and dismantle my doors completely.
I replaced all but the rear 6 1/2 speakers and I still have the driver side door to fish for my new components to go. Ive run 12 guage twisted speaker wire to everything. Here are the pics of what 11 hours of progress looks like......

Ok guys here is what I did with the front doors. Im eventually getting some pods, but im on a budget so for now im going to install the speakers inside.
I decided to just use the existing bose speakers as spacers. Here is how I did it.
Here is the stock setup before everything is done.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b368/ghostp5/Car%20system%20Install/install018.jpg
I cut the speaker cone out with a razor.

Then I trim out the supports and I have a regular spacer left.

Then I installed the new setup.

Now its time for the tweeter..

Take the old one out, but save the bracket. It will hold the new tweeter in place with new longer #6 screws.

Now its time for the worst thing to do on our system. The fishing of the new wire through the connector to the door!!!
Here is what I did that made it kind of easy for me. I disconnected the harness going to the door. I puuled the grommet through the door itself and pulled it out of the hole for the speaker.

Notice the ***** of the window in the background.
Then I took the plastic cover off of the connector.

Once that is off, peel it back and expose the wires. Now you can drill a hole in the connector, and fish the wire through without damaging any of the wires.

More to come in a min as im writing this as I go....

Ok, here is the connector complete with the plastic car re-installed and the wire going through it.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b368/ghostp5/Car%20system%20Install/install032.jpg
Now I drill a hole in the corresponding connector making sure it lines up!

Now slide the wire through both the outide connector and the inside. Connect them together and its done!!! 15 min worth of work...
Here is the finished product.

Ok guys, the interior is 90% back together. All the wires are channelled through the center console back. I have cableized and neatly tucked away.
I still have some work to do inside the old bose sub section. I ran my satelite and other things through there.

I also installed a Farenheight screen in an 03 cubby, and placed the 2 farad cap in the glove box so its hidden. I placed it to where the display faces me. I ran my remote bass control module to the center console where the little storage space is.
