I bought a black 2003 msp last may with 71 g's on it but, in september my house was hit by a tornado and the car was deemed totaled(thank god had bad engine trobles) and after a month of searching i a dark silver 2003.5 msp with 15k on it in Nebraska so, i conned my dad into going there and buying it. It was 400 miles and 6 hrs each way and let me tell u the way back sucked without cruise control. But, there is only one thing wrong with it the intake is missing a piece this piece is like a tube that comes out the front of the intake and goes down into the frame. I was wondering if anyone has pics of there stock intake on an msp so i can determine what part i am missing exactly.

Congrats on the new msp...Do you have a pic of the intake as is? Is it the stock intake on the car, or an aftermarket cold air or short ram?

that lil 90 degree elbow falls off all the time. its not really essential and doesnt do a whole lot so youll be fine with out it....i assume thats the part youre talking about

i believe thats your air intake temp sensor. i'd jus make another hole and plug it in if its annoys you to see it dangling there. i believe u gotta make sure its before the maf sensor.

Turbo should be, however has it been obviously modified? most Mazda dealerships around me, refuse service if they think it was modded, and hell even if they havent been, my dealers suck, really. Not all but some of them do for sure around here.

well i havent modded it yet so its as stock as can be so i think the dealer would look at it

It cant hurt to have them look at it.

allright got it looked over by a dealer seems the turbo is shot the water pump is done and its leaking coolant and its not covered by warrenty because the guy before me modded the engine and turbo so in that he voided the powertrain warrenty and that covers both tubro and water pump also i guess that isnt the original engine

ummm well i guess it wasnt the water pump brought it to another dealer and it was the thermostat and it had to be replaced(cheap) but, they determined that the loud whistling noise is coming from inside my turbo and the other way to get rid of the noise is to replace it. So now i need a new turbo and i dont know what to get because the stock turbo is 1600 bux
