I have a problem with my MSP please anybody that had this problem before or heard of it let me know what you think. I have a problem with my waste gate which some times doesnt let me go into boost, but the problem I'm having now is that all of the sudden my check engine light came on so I had it checked out and the reason it came on because it is running too lean what do you guys think why all the sudden I'm starting to run lean or what the possible problems are? and how to fix it?

they were like a possible clogged injector and its not the o2 sensor

I do not know too much about the MSP. But if it has a MAF, that could be the prob. If the sensor is going out of range it could not be giving the right amount of fuel, Just an idea. What is the code for the check engine light?

well ive had the same thing happen for no reason ive poped a cel for too lean i have changed out my wastegate seemed better after that....i got the non adjustable one from SU.... didnt see the need for a adjustable one i have the ebc... to control it..you may wanna check to see if your waste gate holds pressure... just a thought...

yea i know my waste gate is messed up because sometimes it doesnt let me go into boost but some times I'll spool very quickly but that been broken for a couple months and the check engine light just started coming on yesterday but I'm suppose to be getting that waste gate fixed today and see if I still have the same problem afterwards. thanks alot shaken you were a big help.

I found out the problem I had it checked out today and they plugged a computer to my car and put it on the dyno and it said my O2 sensor is bad and making my car run lean and something about the voltage on the O2 sensor is not reading right also the waste gate spring is bad. and i'm gonna be getting the boush universal aftermarket O2 sensor which is 1/3 the price of the OEM O2 sensor

Double check your WGA to be sure, it is simple to check. Follow the vac line that goes from the BPV valve to where it tees just next to the head above the tranny. At that tee one end goes to the IM, the other goes to your WGA, follow that down to your WGA to be sure. Disconnect it on the WGA side of the tee and blow air into that line. If you feel resistance then the WGA is fine, if any air can go through then it is busted, most likely the diaphram. Then you replace the WGA, if you go to a shop and tell them to replace your "wastegate" then you are giving them permission to change out your turbo with a new one and it will cost you alot. Twenty to one says that your WGA is bad and not the WG itself.

its actually the spring inside the waste gate thats broken thats what I meant when I said waste gate earlier I'm actually replacing it today, but thanks for the advice.
