alright, how can a gti motor push 22 boost, and the MZR would be lucky to break 20 safely?

Just like he said:

my car right now w/an intake, ecu reflash is pushing about 22lbs of boost! a reflash does a lot for the GTI or vw for that matter :-P

Reflashing the ECU is what the new GTI's are all about they show the most hp gains for your buck! Bolt ons are just about worthless on our cars without upgrading the ECU. Are systems are relatively adaptive as while still running on stock ecu programing everything is still limited very much so even with every bolt on imagineable. Put it this way take a brand new 07 gti and add a CAI new front mount ic and a TBE we'll still only dyno at about 210hp/220wtq max. Add a stg2 REVO ECU Reflash with some fine tuning via the select plus controller and your putting down about 270whp/320wtq. Not to mention we still only have a ko3 variant sport turbo compared to you guys. You guys have a Ko4 stock correct? Which is are smallest bt upgrade for us and with an APR stg 3 reflash and the ko4 kits we put down about 310whp/350wtq. Now if you jump up to the gt35r in our cars were laying down sub 400whp, but that requires lots of supporting modifications.

I thought you agreed last time at the track that would race the next time you were there.
Isn't your car an automatic?
LARabbit
02-13-2008, 01:20 PM
Yea it is with the option to be manual (+ / -).
That would mean I would be slow.
It's embarrassing. A little.

I'll think about though.

Actually some newer Automatic systems track better times than manual with all the technology, but not sure if that is the case in your vehicle.

The Semi-auto transmission in the MKV GTI is the best and fastest transmissions made available to the general public. Its called the DSG. To be short and sweet its a gear box with two clutches. Theres no tq reducers nothing its more of a semi-manual then auto. All in all its twin clutches pre select the gear above and below you and takes a total of 2 tenths of a second to switch gears with zero loss of power inbetween shifts. It even automatically will rev your motor up in dowshifts to make them faster and smoother.

We had an 05 GLI pushing 400 to the wheels on the lot, it was boosting around 22psi.
