a company called innovative mounts is building me a set of billet eclipse motor mounts. granted they shouldve been done 5 months ago and im told they are still in R&D.well see

yup. they are 5 months over the completion date to. i call and they say, still in R&D, im like wtf are you guys doin over there?

That sucks, man five monthes, I thought one month for my new engine was bad. Not a bad price though for all of them though.

yea i just hope they dont jerk me around on it ya know. get them done and put them on the market for 500+. ill be upset caus ethats not what i was aimin for. they aske dme if there was a market for these, i sai dyes cause all the eclipse has is those gay things that insert between your stock mounts.

no. theres energy and the polyeurothane ones. no actual motor mount, just rubber inserts using the stock rubber and mount. these are billet and polyeurathane molded in to the billet.

they will have a bigger vibration depending on the tensil of the poly and you will notice it less and less as the stretch and brake in why didnt you take the stock mounts and fill them with poly your self mcmastercarr has poly thats 26 bucks forabout 3 mounts it will fill 1 mount if you eliminate the rubber totally i can post links if anyones interested im going to get the ms6 done and i can post how too's etc... im eliminating the rubber totally and filling it with polly

i didnt do that because to me its a cheap mod. there is not one cheap mod on my GSX. also to me i feel id be replacing that motor mount shortly down the road. i have the money to pay for real stuff and to me thats reliable and what works. plus **** look at those things theyre pretty sweet huh.

I wouldn't start messing with homemade mods like that, if you going to do it, do it right. Custom is the way to go.

yea i agree, im all about doing it right the first time. thats hwy its taking me 2.5 years to get my car running

If your going to put that much time into you car, there is no reason to start cutting corners know, It will catch up with you if you do.

i just put up a how too on here thats all. never said you dont have money but find out the tensil strength on that stuff fyi mcmaster-carr is who most co. by there supplies from to build mounts. they do look nice though

but if your on 2 yrs on that wow thats along wait with all that money sitting there you ever go to sac raceway? if so you mighta seen me get kicked off the track a few times

haha yea i been to sac raceway once. got beat by a supercharged toyota tundra by .01 seconds. yea its been a while for my car but shes beautiful and i know all the money and time and care will be worth it in the long run when shes done..........now i need an engine for my talon, theres another 1000 bux haha

personally, I wouldn't take a risk with something as important and expensive as your engine. I did once already and it cost me big.

thats why i refuse to do the timing in my garage. i had a freind with 15,000 in his car let one of his freinds finish it up. when he got home he went to start it and a piston slammed a valve, destroyed a fully built head. i dont feel im that good to say yea its perfect haha.

My crank pulley fell off while I was doing about 65, I blew my engine.

you want a motor? just stock i might be able to get you one my buddy has/had dunno yet but im sure your lookin at just a couple hundred he got his from busch motors? i think so his old one is out of the car im going to sac on the 18th i might be able to bring it down

might be a turbo model i cant remember im not into the eclipse/talons that much but i will find out i left a message so he should call back today he lives down the street from me and we did a fmic for him so im sure he will give me a great deal no matter what it is i know it had a low mileage on it and ran fine he bought a wrecked car just for the motor so he could run it in his car while he got the motor built maybe 2 months
