Guys,
Im trying to wire a ProSport Mechanical boost gauge but Im running into a snag, actually a couple of them. The gauge is going to be mounted in the defrost vent so Im trying to wire everything in close proximity by using the fuse box as the source for my hook-ups when possible.
Ive attached the wiring diagram / instructions below. I managed to find sources for the Red and white wires by using a "add-a-circuit" setup that utilizes position 6 in the cabin fuse box. So currently the gauge illuminates white but I also want it to be amber at night , hence my first question.
Question 1:
I can't seem to find a source for the amber wire. The instructions say "connect to parking lamp" but i have been unsuccessful thus far. Any ideas?
Question #2:
I need a connection spot for the ground wire. Im half tempted to run a wire to the neg terminal or the battery because I don't want to "splice" in to a wiring harness if I dont have to. With that said, wheres the best location to find a chassis ground?
Question #3:
Obviously I'm going to have to run this trough the fire wall but all the grommets that I see don't seem to have any space for the boost tubing. Am i going to have to drill thru the firewall and if so where's the "safeset location?
Thanks,
Aaragon
