my deck aka cookie monster

so my deck decided to eat my cd this morning on the way to work. I thought I blew the speakers because there was a little static and then nothing. turned the radio on and the speakers are fine. however when I tried to eject the cd it grumbled and wouldn't eject it. It is a stock unit. I'm guessing a wire came loose in back or something but i'm not taking the deck out in the middle of winter. I just want my cd back lol..anyone have any ideas?

this might sound strang like it shouldn't work, but warm up you car, and get it toasty inside, and than try and eject the cd. My cd player on my last car would not function as well when it was cold.

The only way I know how to get a stuck CD out of a player is to find the best cordless drill and a 4" hole saw...... Then you will need some duct tape!!! LOL JK Sounds like a good time to upgrade.

take the deck out....curse at it...throw it in the way of an oncoming bus...revenge is a dish best serve cold. :D

yeah i hate my stock deck becuase its always skipping. even when the cd doesnt have a stractch on it. i hate the bastard! and sometimes he just spits the cd back out. but no biggy on that cuz he only does it once a blew moon. but the skippings gets annoying.

Best way to get the cd back is just buy a new one.

I got my cd back. warming her up did the trick but I didn't think it would this time only because it was warm at the time it happened. She's always been tempramental in the cold but this was a first. She's all good now. It does skip when I go over bumps but other than that I haven't had any problems. I hope to put a new unit in this summer if I get around to it.
