cel code....egr too excessive..

ok so egr too excessive...anyone have an idea..? i took it out...cleaned the pipe, cleaned the crap out of the accual valve...light came back on....(i have a scanner) took a day or 2 but still comes back on...you think i should open the electrical part? what should i be looking for as far as something being wrong elecrtonicly....i think its just stuck open, but i can push the valve up and down by hand quite eaisly....so its not the valve thats stuck....i dont think at least....any input would be great thanks! oh btw, mine is a 99' miata jfyi!

This is just a thought but you might want to check Junkyards and find a few of them. Then swap the electronic parts on your current valve. I did that on my P5 and found out the electronics were haywire in mine. Then I simply bought it new. If you find one of those mom and pop type pull your own part junk yards most of the time they look at the part and say.....ahh give me 5 bucks. Atleast mine did.

yea for sure.....i was going to do that anyway but was hoping there was a way to fix it without making to 40mile trip out to the desert of dead cars....lol
