I had an SVT Euro App. Pack Screming yellow w/ all the goodies - heated Recaros HID headlights - I loved it - It had some of the best handling I've ever seen. I had about 15g in it and it was still slow. The egine was too high compressoin stock to run forced induction or nos w/out blowing it up and major engine builds were pricey. I had alot done to mine still on a good day it put 225-235 at the wheels. But it did pull 1g on a skidpad - I always felt the tranny and flywheel was the biggest downfall in the that thing. I got rid of it for my MS3. This car makes stock what my focus made w/ supercharger.

engine re-builds don't have to be expensive, do it yourself...
order a block...
order a crank...
measure the crank...
store the crank, order the rods...
measure the rods...
store the rods, order the pistons...
measure the pistons...
measure the pistons...
measure the rings...
measure the rings...
measure/gap the rings...
store the pistons/rings...
order the bearings/wrist pins...
hone the block...
smooth and crosshatch the block...
install the rotating assembly...
order the heads...
store the heads, order the valvetrain...
install the valve train...
install the heads w/ valve train...
install the intake manifold...
install some sort of filter for temporary use...
install at least the headers...
install ignition system/time the engine...
install accessory drive...
you're pretty much done...

I had a 2000 SE when I was in highschool. Crashed it a few times but always paid for repairs myself. Broke the axel while racing a lil after midnight on Halloween, left for bootcamp before the car was fixed. While I was in bootcamp, my parents sold the car to my older brother (I was buying it from them at the time - they put all my payments towards the repairs instead) and then he wrecked it again a couple times before finally totalling it.
Loved that car. :(
I still keep in touch with my focus buddies on FocalJet.com and focusrush.net though. ;)

i had and loved the svt, but in the end they wound up making more and better parts for the 2.3 duratech engines - cosworth actually full performance packages for those you could get through a dealer - the best they ever had for the svt was a crappy jackson racing s/c that made about 6-7lbs of boost you could get through a dealer - vortech did have a good kit - but it would blow the engine up with all the compression that thing ran - i was always bummed we never got see any of the good foci they have in europe - like the rs turbo or the st - which i believe is a volvo 5cly turbo

Actually they have the 5-cyl available in Mexico, so the group I admin on (FocusRush.net based in San Diego) has a member who comes up to the meets and brings his - car is pure sex, dude. Its beautiful.
My father has a 2000 ZX3 with a Jackson Racing Super Charger, and a PowerWorks SC in the garage waiting to be put on but he needs to get new pistons/rods before he can, to make sure he doesnt blow up his daily driver. LoL
Link to his car is here. (http://forums.focaljet.com/team-rigz/522536-august-focus-month-make-statement-hooked-again.html?highlight=focus+month+august+hooked)

focussport.com was always my favorite - the got mentioned in sport compact car mag a few times - i always thought they new their way around the ecu and several other things as good as anyone else did - did you ever see the turbo svt that scc did as a project car - i read that mag occasionally and i can't stand when they start a project car and just never finish it - i ran a small spray of nos on mine and melted 2 valves at one point - i spent a good chunk of cash rebuilding the head - i had it port/polished and had the valves and springs replaced with titanium ones - with all that the car never made the power it should have - the drive train sucked!

I have a 2003SVT Focus ZX3 and am in the process of trying to pick up a nice speed6 (and keeping the SVT as well)... A lot of work done to the SVTf but yeah... The engine and gearing are the major weak points along with the clutch... Def handles like a go-kart though!! My car is actually having some work finished up on her up with a well known focus guy (Mike/b16 from focusfanatics)... It came with HIDs. What's been done aftermarket includes...
Carbon fiber fenders (got them for cheaper than stock fenders and needed to replace them from some damage anyways), painted from black to cd silver, 42lb injectors, diablo MAFIa, steeda short throw shifter, smoked side bumper lights, 3" full back exhaust off of the SVT headers (ORP, flex pipe, and exhaust), all 3 steeda poly motor mounts, aluminum aftermarket throttlebody, massive comp engine bay and hatch stress bars, H&R sport cup kit, steeda 28.6mm rear sway bar, H&R 24mm front sway bar, custom tune by turbotom of focusfanatics via diablo predator tuner, header wrapped header and ORP, DPIC and AF gauges in pillar pod, dyno adjusted exhaust side cam gear, MSD performance coil pack and 8.5mm plug wires, centric premium front and back rotors, hawk hp plus front and back brake pads, russel 6pc stainless brake lines, ford euro center grill, cfm 2pc alum ud pulleys, aem cold air intake w/bypass filter, 180 degree tstat, cfm billet intake mani lever, anthracite colored team dynamics pro race 1 light weight rims (just a hair over 17lbs each), cfm black billet shorty antenna, ford gt shift knob and e-brake handle... And some more things I'm sure that I can't recall! Lol.
