ive noticed somthing. mazda 6 has a v6 200sumthin horses right. well the ms6 has a turbo i4 with like 270... why dont they just turbo the v6 that car would be the shiot. not only that car thoug i thnk the mazda speed mx5 need to come with a smaller v6 with a turbo of course. and maybee just offer the v6 without turbo for a regular mx5 cuz they only have 4cyls in them thats upsetting. that car doesnt need mutch to power it but its so small you put some 275 or even a 315 tires on there with the v6 that thing would be a bat outa hell man. fast as funk. it would have trouble on the track but gd offer two motors the i4 turbo and the v6 turbo.. those are my suggestiones for mazda.

well in my opinion youd only buy a mazdaspeed if you wanted your car faster... if a 60 year old man is buying a mazdaspeed mx5 he doesnt know what he is doing. if a guy in his mid 30's buys a mazdaspeedmx5 with the intention of racing why not give him a little more umphh u know. i mean hell mazda put the worlds smallest production v6 into a mx3 it was 1.8liters and it was FWD. y cant they throw that into a mx5 and give it a turbo. id be happier than a pig in sht. obviously new technology is needed but cmon y not

New technology means alot of R&D and that means alot of money in the sticker price. That is the only reason that they did not go with a FMIC on the MS3. The 2.3t was a straight drop in motor from the MS6 and CX7 and kept the price just over 20K. The only thing they had to do was to modify the ECU and the motor mount locations from the stock 3 to put that motor into the MS3. Money is a big factor. When you have the EVO's and the STI's and SRT-4's that have already proved to be big sellers and largely upgradable 4 cylinder's why would you spend the millions to try to produce a smaller diaplacement V6 when you know you can 300-400 whp out of what you already have. Doesn't make sense as a production car. That is why they have MODIFIED magazine along with a slew of other mags so that you can showcase the unique things that you have done with your car. Mass production of a twin turbo V6 is not feaseable for Mazda or any other company. THere are only a handful ever produced and didn't sell real well. The ones that are still left out there are for a very niche market. Not cost effective for the manufacturers to even think of.

ok first thing ms3 doesnt need change. my argument is for the ms6 and the msmx5. evos and sti's are made for rally thats why they have small motor big hp. the ms6 and msmx5 are road cars they could put a turbo v6 in them and be fine. the srt 4.... no comment idk much bout them. me personally i love both rally and road driving. but i dont drive my car in rally racing. i would rather have a largley upgradeable turbo v6 than a largly upgradable turbo 4cyl. but i do have mad respec to stis with the flat four good job subi. i would hope that no company would ever twin turbo anything. let us do that. but they can put a single turbo on. oh and only reason i brought up old school MX-3 was cuz they put a small v6 into it. they can do it so why not offer it in a more popular car like the mx5 it doesnt have to be a 1.8 they could probably fit my 2.5 v6 into one with the mx5 being rwd it would be nice to have it with a bigger motor so people wouldnt see it as a fruity car. if it could hold its own and run under a 14.5 i would crap my pants. people would stop associating miatas with gay pple. miatas arnt 1/4 mile cars i know they are autocross and road course cars. but let the customer decide. make two versions of the mazdaspeed mx5 the i4 that they have now and a turbo v6. same with the ms6
