View Full Version : LED Parking light/Turn Signal issue

Tonight i replaced my regular parking lights with LEDs but i have 'turbo blinker' and was wondering where the flasher was on the MS3 so i know which one to order as a replacement. Is it a 2pin, 3pin, or 8pin?

since LED's have a lesser load on the electrical system, the whole system thinks you have a burnt out bulb...thus, you have the fast blinkers going off..its pretty standard on newer cars, it lets you know when you have a burnt out bulb...its kinda like a CEL for light bulbs.....are they even lighting up?

lucky ba....i mean... thats cool :D...i did LED's on mine, but they didnt light up...so i just colored them silver for stealth bulbs.

edit: also in the pics you can see that they are a tad crooked even though the housing is in perfectly.

where did you got those? Those are nice. Now you need the LED sidemarkers and the LED signal advisors, and you be set:)

under the 1157/2057 White the second bulbs down were the ones i went with ($16.99 + 9.99 for the license plate lights came to 32.77 with shipping and insurance)

if i can find a second set of sidemarkers i may try an experiment

edit: ordered 2 50W load resistors to fix the 'hyperflash' issue, another $10

the 3's don't have a blinker relay. i tried to replace mine about 2yrs ago and found out from the dealership that the flashing is computer controlled. you need to install load resistor on each bulb to slow the blinking. here's a vid of how they blink after the resistors are installed:

the LED sidemarkers are the wrong color, so i'm thinking a little DIY project is in order once i pick up a pair of sidemarkers. going to try and get my sidemarkers to match my parking lights...

somebody told me they had to be yellow or it was illegal. I also heard that what you want to do is not possible because the light and marker are a single piece.

Then again, we got to hear once that it was impossibble to get to the moon.

exactly. i had the same color lights on my Lumi for sidemarkers for the longest time (when i had clear sidemarkers) until i decided to try something different. so my goal is to have HID White sidemarkers as well as parking lights. i'll probably be enlisting one of my friends to help with this little project as well :)

the 3's sidemarkers are a "1 piece" design, you have to cut them open with a dremel to get to the inside. a couple of guys on the other forum did it so it can't be to hard just takes time and patience.
i have set off the sidemarkers, but they're black not clear. they came with leds, but i wired them incorrectly and blew the LEDS. if you want them to work on as tester then they're yours. pm me with if your interested. you can have them for free. they look like these.
