Damn, it seems like it wasn't that long ago... now that I think of it, I got a $5K savings bond that should be fully matured next month (gift from the grandparents for graduating)

or you should save it and put it into a cd, that way when gas is 25 bucks a gallon you can afford it.

if you are doing springs... .do struts at the same time.
at which point coil overs becomes a better deal and alot less work entirely. it also gives you the ability to adj as florida roads can be real ****ty and being stupid low all the time can really blow.
that is why Im going to be doing coilovers very soon.
PS grad money.... I wish I had saved for the future but w/e you choose is your choice.

as far as clutches and flywheels....... there are only a handfull of ppl who's actually went aftermarket. really all depends on wut your overall "goal" for the car is. btw if you get an intake, get a short ram. we've had that discussion before already haven't we? yes? no? maybe?

yes it has been discussed.
cutch and flywheel shouldnt be even close to top of the list on a stock car....

coming from the guy who drives a atx. clutch and flywheel are fine as long as ur not 2 aggressive w/ ur choice. fyi flipper clutch and flywheel combos on stock vehicles may drop time as much .3 in the 1/4, improve throttle response and possibly gas mileage. That's IF you choose wisely.

a stock clutch is more than adaquate for something in stock trim..... if he was putting out a **** load more power and needed something to handle more stress then it would make sense.
Im aware of gains with flywheel upgrades and clutch upgrades..... I also know what kind of work is involved with putting them in.
realisticly he has X number of dollars to spend and for what 10HP maybe? with the flywheel upgrade. there is much wiser money spent out there. you will see that and probably more with an upgraded header. arent handle held tuners recently released by steeda or something like that? hell sway bars will make for a much more wild ride than a flywheel upgrade.
Ps just because I have an auto 6 does not mean I dont know anything about a manual trans. then again the trans in the S13 is stock and 20 year old clutch and flywheel. How about the 72 stingray we have? stock 5spd on a 454 with stock clutch and flywheel. these arent things that just wear out unless you abuse the car all to hell. btw the 72 sprint is ATX...... it would love to take you to school. Just got to replace one of the radials we blew out on its last run...... guess 10.46 all motor is weak sauce when its auto?

I was looking at it from just a driver's feel standpoint not hp. But yea you can probably get more power from a header BUT that also requires a better flowing exhaust for that to even be effective. The Steeda tuner doesn't work w/ our cars, if it did I'd have 1 already. The sway bars are fun but there's only 1 that's actually been tested and proven to work and that's the corksport. Others are just for looks.
I wasn't insulting your knowledge or anything by mentioning you drive an auto. Real men drive standards!!! lol :p NOW for that 72 sprint....... don't throw a car at me unless your name is on the title. I hate it when ppl boast about someone else's car. But if you wanna throw races just let me know. I do know of a few ppl who are running mid 10s w/ daily drivers.

who looks at sway bars? is that even real? the racing beat sways are far superior to the stock sways and with upgraded endlinks will improve the ride even more.
its the step dad's car...... Hasnt seen much track time since we replaced the nitrous jets because he is building a house.....
PS I dont own gabby's car either.
