anyone know movie players or codecs?

i have codec version 6.4 and 2 of my downloaded movies dont play right on windows media player. i went to downloads.com and go tthe first one in the list and it worked before. now for some reason it wont work for 2 of them. any idea why? or anyone know a good player or codec?

hey mike,i hope this helps. when i play a movie and the media player came up and had that swirly cause the codec didnt download. it asks if you wanna close or go to web help. i hit web help and a few clicks it took me right to the codec i needed so now all my movies play just fine :).

VLC is the best movie codec out there. it plays basically any format.
