HIN Orlando StreetUnit Event July 18th-20th

Ok you all no the rules from before there is no reason to leave them.

Now for the good stuff.

The schedule as follows:

Friday 18th, 2008

3:45 pm - 4:30 pm - Meeting at the HIN staging area.

5 pm - Roll in

5 pm to 8 pm Set-up crunch time

8 pm - Promptly shut down

thereafter is up to the individual attendee.....

Saturday 19th, 2008

12:45 pm -1:30 pm - Meet up to get back in to OCCC

1:30 pm - 2:00 pm - Get back in for last min prep

2:00 pm - 5 pm - Final set-up and final preparation

5 pm - Past the point of no return oh and the show starts

5 pm - 12am - Showtime (Let the fingerprints begin)

12am - Breakdown

After Breakdown - Release the Horsepower Power (oh and last year Orange County Sheriff had a field day with tickets, so drive nicely)


Other Notes:

All vehicles will be in the convention center from Mid day on the 18th and will be there until the early morning of the 20th of July.
No one person is expected to do anything other then come to the event, however we are asking for people to help with setup and break down after then event. (Anyone that is interested in helping needs to contact me personally and I will give details to what we are asking help for)
Payment information for tickets will be released early next week. I am in the final works with cost for the event. I can tell you this year there will be two different tickets for there vehicles in the event. One will be to compete the other will be to show only. More details will come the first of the week.
On Saturday July 19th the day of the event owners of vehicles in the show will be admitted early for very last minute detailing to there vehicles.
We are asking all vehicles in the show be 110% detailed show ready. Interiors, engine bays, exteriors, under bodys the whole works.

All vehicles must be 100% cleaned out of all belonging there will be 10's of thousands of people there so to keep people honest lets not leave anything for them to find during the show.

The only names on the list in this thread will be the ones whom are registered with me personally. The attached form must be filled out 100% and sent to me via email or fax.

i have spd6 rims on a reg. six would that work for the aftermarket rims part? i have a strut bar no mufflers, will have a cai, im going to put two su decals on the car. possibly lowered by that time and i have a spd6 shifter, and the center pieces. also spd6 floor mats. do you think i'll need anything else?

the car HAS to be lowerd and no, the ms6 wheels wont work.. it has to be aftermarket wheels... all of our cars will have aftermarket wheels in the show

you could always park it in the shower at the hotel..... or in the pool

there are several places that detail cars on that end of town. one of those mobile detailing places would make bank at an event like this

Good looking out. I worked HIN last year and it did rain, I had to go around and detail most of the cars once they were inside.

Im just going to plan on bringing most of my cleaning supplies because I am coming from St. Pete. So once I get there, I know my car is going to need to be wiped down.

i hope i can post this in this thread. StreetUnitHector (http://www.streetunitforum.com/member.php?u=5131) mentioned that I should consider signing up for the event and participate. He said I qualified all but the rims. So Abbey offered to let me mount her rims for the show. This would be the first show I ever participated in if my car truly does qualify after borrowing the rims so im not 100% sure how this works. Do we have to keep the cars unlocked for the event? I dont have any interior mods so if i dont have to I prefer not to. You mentioned holding rooms for us at a hotel, which one would that possibly be? And did you get any more news on when we need to be there Friday afternoon, I need to know so I can make sure I can get the whole weekend off.

I'm all ready to go. I just called to confirm that i should get my CF hood by next Friday. Now all I need is some custom Mazda logo Centercaps for my wheels. Anyone know where I can get a 2 1/4" decal or emblem for my center caps. I had so sweet ones that were 3 dimensional but i lost one and i can't find the manufacture. Please help as the show is quickly approaching.

I need some SU decals for my car, if I stop in the SU store on Friday morning before dropping of the car at the convention center can I get some help to put them on? I prefer to measure the stickers before installing, this way I get the look I am going for.

There is a Red Lobser accoss from the CC with plenty of parking.

I know they charge for parking at the covention center so remeber to bring some $ for it I thing is $12.00

ugh. i am dumb. i decided to redo my entire trunk starting like 2 days ago. i've spent $x,xxx on the car in the last 3 weeks. that first x isnt a low number either. SOMEONE STOP ME :( im dyno'ing thursday to make a blow up of it for under my hood...i am 50/50 deciding whether to throw race gas in and run 30psi to see if we can put up 600 but its a little scary - id cry if something broke haha
