I would like to see a REMOTE MOUNT turbo kit for the NC. I know blitz has one in the works(normal turbo kit) and so does BEGI(normal turbo kit). But everyone seems to complain about the little room there is under the hood and how the blitz kit does not look efficient since all of the piping they run has too many bends and curves.

For those who do not know about what I'm talking about. Below is a picture of a Twin Turbo Remote mount kit on a Corvette....

I worry about those as hot turbo+ rain= lots of mess. not to mention the added weight.
I would think the weight in the rear might help with handling though.
STS sells a universal kit I have been debating for a long time.

Design some type of thin sheet metal heat shields for them.

the problem with that is you need the breathing so you dont have an IC, you also are now decreasing ground clearence.

lol maybe its just parinoia? come to think of it the turbo may not even be "that" hot as it is so much farther from the engine that the temp fluctuations may not be an issue.
idk I would want to ask someone about the life span of this setup. I know one dude who ran it on his F150, but he made a splash shield.

Yea, ground clearence isnt much of an issue on and F-150.

On "Gears" and "Two Guys Garage" they installed this setup on a C5 and C6 corvette. They said it could be daily driven. Plus you can still run a intercooler.

thats part of the MX5 issue in the first place. with some people they will remove the AC compressor for more clearnance, but the "coolness" of the rear mount is the lack of extras in the engine bay.

If it works I want it. I really don't care how it looks.
