So as most know Gabby and I have been shopping around trying to find her a Cobra of her dreams as the 240sx is on its last legs......

We talked of an SR20 swap before FandF ruined the 240sx but I have love for the CA18DET and in her S13 would be a pretty simple swap and be much cheaper than finding any cobra/GT thing......

The question is..... what kind of fuel system upgrades am I going to need(just to get it running right now) and what company would you get motor mounts from?

also, the debate goes on and on is the CA18DET>SR20DET.... there are both sides of the coin and would be interested in hearing it. Believe me I know all about the RB26DETT swap and the RB25DET swap and it isnt really very practical for daily driving purposes

lastly would you say it still is better off to cut bait and get the GT/Cobra or spend less than listed price to swap the motor and then build that

I dunno, seems like there are 11 bazillion rustangs out there. Unless you went to a straight up 60's Shelby Cobra, I would keep the 240 and do the swap.

Get her a new GT500 Robert :D - I bet you'd need another one of those "costco sized boxes" (you better know what im reffering to :D) after that!

Check out ENjuku racing here in winterpark for all of your nissan related questions.

They have been working on car for a buddy of mine. SR 20 swap and all of the goodies to go along with it.

It all boils down to money. the ca is a cheaper way to go. by about 1k. The Ca motor is very impressive and has a lot of potential. down fall there are a lot more aftermarket products for the SR.The SR is more expensive but has been proven to be a beast of a motor...Both swaps require about the same amount of work and are relatively easy. enjukuracing is a good resource....but streetunit can get you the same swaps for a lot less. I will be going with the s13 sr20det black top in February. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Yeah... what he said ^. You already have the car...the swap, whether Ca or Sr is so straight. Parts and info on the swap can be found anywhere. Stick with the 240 bro:cool:

I agree, I really don't see that many 240s on the road if any that alone must count for something.
