Whats up guys well i finally got some extra cash so im going to lower the car. nothing over the top like coil-overs but lowering springs. Im thinking Of the Eibach Sportlines...or the Pro kit they're 225 for all four either way http://www.f2usa.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=687
If they're cheaper on s.u let me know. cause i looked and i think they're a little bit more. But If one of the street unit guys can do them for cheaper or so i'll buy from s.u and get some decals. Let me know guys

I hate Eibach. I've had them in my WS6, Cobra and my 8. They always end up botteming out after a year or two even if you replace the shocks. I just had eibach replace my rears in my 8 and that was a lot of hell with them to go thru. Go with Tein. I've had those in my 7. Jayrx7 has the same ones in his. Plus I have 2 other friends one with a Silvia and the other with a 350z and they have had them for a couple of years with no issues.

I vote for oem MS6 springs and shocks. Same drop as the sportline kit

Good question however they actually do give us a drop. I'll post pix after I get mine on this wknd. I was actually looking at sprint springs a while back. I don't know of anyone that has them on their 6 so get them and report back

I dont see how the ms6 springs would do anything other than lift the car... Ide be willing to bet money they wont lower th car at all. Got pics on someone elses car blue? I think I still have my ms6 springs now that I think about it...

Im in the middle of ordering some shocks right now........ If ms6 springs do infact lower the car I will be looking for some of those instead.
got 107k out of my OEM springs and struts...... pretty pleased with that.

true they're good stock but i do want to get rid of the 4x4 status. im prolly going to get those sprints. Kyle had them before he loved them on his mx6 so..They're cheaper than the others. with a 1.8 in drop. wich is pretty sweet. i'll be getting them next weekend.. get paid friday(28th) and i'll prolly be ordering them over the weekend then hopefully getting them pretty quickly from s.u along with a couple of decals. then black outs so its gonna be a good christmas i hope it all turns out good.

I'm redoing my research. I someone somewhere stated that speed6 springs gave them a drop but you do have a VERY valid point. bbs

come on blue, you should know this...
ride height and ground clearance are two different things...
ride height = distance between an unsprung and a sprung component... (i.e. top of tire to top of fender)
ground clearance = distance between ground and lowest component on vehicle... (i.e. low hanging exhaust component and ground)

dude, seriously, i'm not trying to be mean, but if you don't know the difference between sprung and unsprung, why are you touching your suspension...

mach1steve
11-22-2008, 09:36 PM
well fine then... my eibach's have given me excellent ride quality... the ride height was tightened up and even though i lost tons of ground clearance, i wouldn't trade them for anything...

Thank you steve lol. but im either going to go with eibachs or the sprints

Try every make and model all the way back to the 60s...... That came to The States anyway lol. But no that doesn't include spring rates and such :p

11-26-2008, 09:26 PM
lol louis i was pretty set on them or the eibachs..what do you know about the sprints?
bluestreak6
11-26-2008, 09:46 PM
they're the only ppl that mention spring rate in their description. plus I only know of 1 other person with them installed. SO you can be my pig b/c i got a set but wanna play w/ the ms6 springs 1st (or just get coilovers :D)
2k8mazda6
11-26-2008, 11:11 PM
no $$ for coilovers...but yeah i'll go with the sprints..wait you have sprints?

I have a "few" parts laying around that I just really don't feel like messing with right now and yes those springs just so happen to fall into that category. Well right now I just have a fr. sway bar, ms6 trunk brace, a hacked hid kit, green stuff brake pads (need rotors so no need to install those yet), ms6 springs, and i'll hopefully have ms3 wheels soon :D
