I am reaching out to the StreetUnit people and the Community because of an order I recently placed. The SU RED Edition Cobb SRI recently came out, and I was on the Pre-Order list. I am upset because I bought this thinking that..."Okay, I can have an all red setup now because StreetUnit came out with this product" but when I opened the box Lo and Behold...red Silicone, but BLUE filter. So naturally I got upset. I called up Mark at StreetUnit and complained, and he explained to me that because the Blue filter comes with the package they cannot simply replace it for the RED filter, because that is how it comes. Also, if you choose the K&N filter it will cost an extra 45 dollars. So he explained to me that if I choose the K&N red filter option I would end up with Two(2) filters. One Red/One Blue. I am upset because I thought in my head that the purpose of this RED edition was so the engine bay could be aesthetically pleasing in an all red setup. I do not want a blue and red filter, and I do not understand why if I order the Red K&N I will have to pay extra to get it, and I will get the unneeded blue one as well. I want to make it clear that I am not calling out Mark or anything because he explained everything in a very calm manner even though I was a little ticked. The day the SRI's went out to ship, this picture was posted on the site...

So naturally, I thought that it came with that spiffy Red filter, because when I pre-ordered it, it didn't have the option for a K&N Red filter, just the color of the silicone and the color of the prefilter. So I assumed it came in Red which was my mistake...
Basically my argument is that...Why can't you simply swap out the Blue filter for a Red one and ship that one out like that? I understand that the COBB SRI come as a "package" as is. But StreetUnit managed to swap out the Blue silicone COBB tube that it originally came with and put a Red SU one and they can't do the same for the filter?? You have to basically pay an additional 45 dollars to get the RED filter? And/Or go out of your way to find out the dimensions of the filter so you can order one from K&N yourself? That does not make sense to me...
Please tell me if I am being unreasonable, or if my argument is fair...because I am a little upset right now...If I AM being unreasonable, I guess I will just have to hunt for the red K&N filter once I get the dimensions from StreetUnit.
Edit: Also, if the case is that the Blue Filter comes as a "complete package," why can't you just replace it with the Red K&N one and sell the Extra Blue that you replaced as a replacement filter, which would actually make StreetUnit a profit of $5 as SU is selling them at $50 dollars right now...
Compared to the K&N which is selling for $45...
