So I was messing around the other day with teh idea, and since I had nothing to do, I said "you know what, let me go take some measurements".

What happened next was pretty sad...

I tore appart my trunk....

And started to look around for an achor spot.

Hmm...no strut top to be seen, not even bolts! Maybe here...

But no anchorage without tearing a new hole on the place...I did find this to be interesting...

the seat belt has an anchor to the frame of the car. That anchor would work perfectly as the base of the strut bar, but we would loose the seatbelt. Some of us might feel that our passengers beign safe is important...

So, if it was to be there, it would look like this...

BUt that's prolly a no go. So the second idea is to steal one from our, ahem, "friends" in the Honda world, and have an upper support in the hatch.

But who wants to ruin his plastic molds for a strut bar?

So I cam eto the conclusion that this is nto happening unless the person is ready to tear a new one on his car.

Discussion open.

on mine, they don't actually have the RSTB on the actual strut mount, but (welded) on an adjacent area... now i'm not suggesting welding the crap out of your interior, but i'm guessing you could "make" an anchor on the body somewhere near the struts...
